Greetings folks, I'd just like to say a big thankyou to the developers who put together one of the nicest user experiences I've ever come across.

My old desktop (prior to its theft) was as follows:

Abit KV8 AMD Athlon64 3000 - 2Ghz 512Mb ram Fx5200 gpu A couple of Hard drives and optical drives Networking curtesy of an el cheepo Realtek pci card.

Worked flawlessly out of the box, didn't have to prat about with codecs or drivers, just left me to get on with my wor

Elive 1.9.54 development released

The Elive Team is proud to announce the release of the development version 1.9.54




  • ElPanel removed, all its features are moved elsewhere, it is more userfriendly now, by other side if you like elpanel you can still installing it.
  • E17 Modules: Some E17 modules added, also, you can configure now the startup sound and the elive-news features
  • Nvidia: If you use nvida-settings to configure dual montitors by generating a xorg.conf, you can recover your keyboard configuration
  • Kernel version: 2.6.30
