  Through Elpanel you can control your whole system, i.e. from Elpanel you can launch all the programs to add/remove packages, configure your hardware, customize the look and feel of Elive... etc.

• The "elive-skel" tool in Elive provides the user with a pre-made custom configured system. This tool is started when a new user gets created and can be invoked through Elpanel (for example after an upgrade.) You can use it for recovering default configurations, updating them, or changing the look of your Elive system.

Then you can use the Bonus Discs Download a Bonus disc, burn it on a CD, put the CD-ROM in the computer, and click "install". You don't have to do anything more.   Elive's installer has been developed from scratch. Now it supports a lot of extra features and the possibility to upgrade your old Elive system to a newer version.
