This is the first Linux distribution that I have been able to use. All of the others have had bugs. I am new to this OS and from what I can see so far, this is good.

Felicitaciones

The Elive Website has been compromised

-

The other day, the company "Microsoft Inoperative Systems" reported to Google that Elive was malware, installing a different and operative system in the PC computers that is not in their monopolized list, switching the humans to use a serious and useful operating system, the result was that when you tried to enter the Elive website you got instead security warning by Google, saying you to leave inmediately the website because it contained malware and was very dangerous for your Windows computer, so we discussed with google explaining them that we are not collaborators of a broken capitalist system that works by interests and scams, the issue is now resolved and the Elive website is up again.

Now, seriously: The website of Elive had been hacked by a website security issue and the cracker had implemented some malware on it, the google bots found them and marked the Elive website as dangerous; thanks to a friend who sent me an email I was informed about the problem and now it has been fixed. I have found a new file added in the website and two files modified with extra code, this should not happen again because now I've written a scanner tool that searches for possible hacked files every 4 hours and notifies me inmediately if this happens. Unfortunately we are still living on a monetary-capitalist system and these things will continue to happen until we switch to .md5 and a .sig file, the first one is for checking the full integrity of the system (.iso), which means that, if any of the millions of bytes are modified, then the .md5 file doesn't match and says that there's an error (normally this is useful when you have downloaded the file wrongly, for example if the download has stopped before it finishes and you thought that was complete). The other .sig file is useful for checking the authenticity of the system (.iso), it is signed with Thanatermesis's digital signature, a signature supported and certified by a lot of debian developers that proofs its authenticity again, only Thanatermesis can sign with this signature, by checking the signature you are certified that only Thanatermesis has created (or signed the authenticity) of such files. Finally, when you are installing Elive and the installer says "Verifying the integrity of the system" also checks that every byte are correct and not modified or broken by a wrong download for example.

Have a nice day.
