Elive adds a refreshing look to what ever pc it runs on. It's component parts work well and installation is a breeze. The live disc includes more than just the essentials, having a broad range of desktop applications elive is a fast lane into modern media editing and recreation.

I spend a lot of time in front of my computer, tired of windows, i was looking for a user experience that bring me far away from the Gnome or KDE one. Truly, elive responds to all my needs. Debian is my usual way to manage services upon the network. But I need a gui to work on the same machine. For this purpose, Enlightenment seems to be the best choice. Indeed it is ! Light, customisable, and above all wonderful ! Working has never been so fun !

I started using Linux about two years ago and tested several Distributions. (OpenSuSe, Sabayon, Mandriva, Ubuntu... ) But none of them all was as BEAUTIFUL, RELIABLE AND FAST as Elive is! It's a really outstanding and impressive System! I also recommended it to my friends and they also like it very much! Great Work! Highly recommendable!

New CMS !

We have switched to a new CMS !

It is called MODx, it looks verrrry good and very professional too. Take a look at their youtube video
If you want to see the old website, you can view it on http://old.elivecd.org

The bad news is that there is no support for other languages than english anymore (for now). We have to wait for modx to implement a multi-lingual system. We considered writing our own module but we think it's better to wait for modx to make one, for better implementation/compatibility

You'll notice the new website has the same look as the old one, yet it is totally different. We are hoping to make a more active website thanks to this new CMS!

Now that I have finshed up with the website and stuff, I can continue working on the development of Elive.
And start implementing the very awaited and wanted new version of E17 on Elive by default!
